Murrindindi Shire Case Study

The gender audit undertaken at Murrindindi Shire Council was a twelve month process beginning in October 2014 by a working party at council, as part of the broader Hume Region Prevention of Violence Against Women and Children strategy.

The gender audit provided a valuable opportunity to assess the organisational culture and staff views on gender and equity, with the working party utilising this information to develop an action plan that promotes awareness of healthy work practices.
